Timesheet Management Application

We developed a Timesheet Management Application to digitize employee time tracking and streamline the process of recording, reviewing and approving timesheets. Employees get an easy-to-use interface for daily time entry, and managers can review and manage submitted timesheets.

What we built

Key features and contributions

Power Apps Canvas application

  • Developed a user-friendly Canvas App for employees to record their working hours.
  • Enabled daily and weekly time entry against tasks or projects.
  • Gave users visibility into submitted, pending and approved timesheets.
  • Implemented validations to improve the accuracy and consistency of time entries.

Timesheet & task management

  • Captured date, project or task, working hours, descriptions and other relevant information.
  • Supported multiple time entries within a working day.
  • Enabled employees to review and update timesheets before submission.

Approval workflow

  • Implemented manager-based timesheet submission and approval processes.
  • Enabled managers to review, approve or reject submitted timesheets.
  • Automated notifications for pending approvals and status changes.

SharePoint

  • Used SharePoint Lists as the underlying data source for timesheets, employees, projects and related information.
  • Structured the data to support efficient application operations and reporting.

Power Automate

  • Automated timesheet submission, approval notifications, reminders and status updates.
  • Reduced manual follow-ups and streamlined the approval process.

Reporting & visibility

  • Gave managers visibility into employee hours and timesheet status.
  • Supported tracking of submitted, approved and pending hours for better operational oversight.
